The JooJoo/Crunchpad Is Finally Shipping, Whoa
Not so long ago Michael “Arrogant” Arrington of TechCrunch was touting an idea of a tablet PC that didn’t look that bad in the early stages of development and everything seemed promising. He called it the CrunchPad, how cute.
Long story short the company developing it for TechCrunch (Fusion Garage) did a 180 and turned it’s back on TechCrunch and decided to develop the device themselves (probably because Michael Arrington is a selfish and greedy money hungry jerk who wanted most of the credit).
To Fusion Garage’s credit, the device looks pretty good. I’m not sure if I’d purchase something that is really nothing more than a web browser though, but it has an advantage over the iPad by actually coming up with an original design.
Expect to get the device as early as March 29th, 2010 (if you pre-ordered). If you’re one of the people who didn’t pre-order and want to buy one, better have $499 (that’s US dollars) to get one of these things.
