Some of you might know that American post-hardcore/rock band from Irvine, California, Thrice are my all time favourite band. I have seen them every time they’ve visited Australia before they went on hiatus.
Today, my latest and quite possibly most prized addition to my Thrice music collection arrived, a rare and very hard to find promo copy of The Artist In The Ambulance in instrumental form. This was one hard CD to track down, but I found it and bought it for a steal as well. I would have paid way more than I did for this just to have it, but I am glad I didn’t.
This is Thrice’s most known album release from 2003 for Island Records. Every single track is there from the album in instrumental form. It was already one of my favourite albums by the guys, but hearing it in instrumental form makes it feel like I am listening to a new album by Thrice.
I’ve been wanting to hear this CD ever since I heard of its existence a while ago, but it can’t be found anywhere online. I am debating whether or not I should rip this and put it online for all Thrice fans to enjoy or keep it for myself knowing that only a small amount of people have actually heard this amazing promo release.
See below for some crappy quick photos I took:
