I build front-ends that work. Fast, accessible, and refreshingly boring in all the right ways.
I’m Dwayne, a front-end developer from Queensland, Australia. I’ve been writing code since browsers were simpler and requirements were… well, also simpler. These days I split my time between building things that ship, contributing to Aurelia 2, and helping teams migrate away from legacy frameworks without losing their minds.
I believe in small milestones, architecture first, and removing complexity rather than adding it. Whether it’s a WordPress site that needs to load faster or a React app drowning in unnecessary abstractions, the goal is always the same: make it work reliably for real people with real problems.
When I’m not debugging someone else’s CSS or explaining why “just add a library” isn’t always the answer, you’ll find me writing about front-end development, reviewing products that probably don’t need reviews, and maintaining an unhealthy relationship with mechanical keyboards.
Why “I Like Kill Nerds”?
Back in 2010, a typo in a code comment turned “I like chill nerds” into “I like kill nerds.” The client noticed. We laughed. The name stuck. Sometimes the best brands come from the worst mistakes.
