Stagecoil Privacy Policy

I’m Dwayne Charrington, the developer of Stagecoil. The app controls a separate Stagecoil Companion running on your computer. You don’t need a Stagecoil account, and the app has no ads, analytics, tracking or developer-operated cloud service.

Stagecoil connects to the computer you choose over your local network or a supported USB connection. It sends control requests and reads the plugin’s state so you can work with presets, snapshots and other available controls. Your presets, setlists and edits stay on your computer and in your installed plugin. Stagecoil doesn’t send them to me.

The app saves your computer’s address, its public connection certificate, your last connection method and accessibility preferences on your phone or tablet. It doesn’t save the six-digit pairing code. You can remove a trusted computer in the app. Deleting Stagecoil removes its saved data from your mobile device; it doesn’t delete presets on your computer.

If you choose to scan the pairing code, Stagecoil uses your camera to read the QR code shown by Companion. It doesn’t take or save photos or upload camera images. You can paste the connection details instead, or revoke camera access in your device settings.

If you email me for support, I’ll receive your email address and whatever details you include. I use those messages to answer you and keep them only as long as needed to resolve the request. For a privacy question or deletion request concerning support messages, email dwaynecharrington@gmail.com with the subject Stagecoil privacy request. Please check diagnostics before sending them, as they can contain local connection details.

Apple and Google handle app purchases and may process store or crash diagnostics under your account and device settings. Their policies cover those services: Apple and Google. This web page is separate from the app; normal web hosting logs may record a request to view it.
