By default Mac OS (Mavericks for me) doesn’t ship with pre-configured support for reading and writing to NTFS drives. You can read them, but you can’t write to them.
As I previously wrote in a post, you can enable NTFS write support in Mac OS Mavericks and up, but it involves a few steps and is more of a hack. This is where Paragon NTFS for Mac comes into the fold.
This application (a steal at $20) gives your Mac the missing functionality to not only mount NTFS drives without editing your fstab file, but also mounts them for you as well and allows NTFS write support out of the gate without any hassle or configuration.
This application does exactly what it promises without any hassle. Definitely worth buying and an essential purchase for any Mac user who has drives in NTFS format or works with them and needs write support without needing any command line trickery.
