Let me cut to the chase here – I love this mouse. I mean, I really, really love this mouse. It’s the Logitech MX Master 3S, the latest version of the MX Master series, and let me tell you, Logitech has managed to make an already fantastic mouse even better.
The moment you hold this mouse, you’ll notice how nicely it sits in your hand. It’s like it was made for you. The MX Master series of mice are known for their unrivalled comfort. Gone are the days of aching wrists after long hours in front of the screen. And those buttons? They’re right where you’d naturally rest your fingers, making them easy to access.
Now, here’s where things get interesting. I’m a stickler for quiet workspaces. The constant click-clicking of a mouse or mechanical keyboard can drive me crazy (one of the many reasons I don’t miss the office). Remember the MX Master 2 and 3? Fantastic mice, but boy, were they loud. This is where the MX Master 3S shines. Logitech claims that the mouse is 90% quieter, and I have to say, they aren’t kidding. It’s so quiet that you could probably use this mouse in a library without disturbing anyone. This mouse is a godsend if you’re like me and need a quiet workspace.
In terms of functionality, this mouse doesn’t just meet expectations – it exceeds them. I work on a MacBook Pro, and the MX Master 3S pairs up flawlessly over Bluetooth without needing dongles. It’s like they were meant to be together. And those extra buttons and the scroll wheel? You can customise them to do pretty much anything you want. I use Photoshop a lot, and tweaking the brush size using the side wheel is incredibly handy.
When it comes to the feel of this mouse, it’s just right. It’s comfortable to hold, glides effortlessly, and has a nice grip to it. Plus, the magnetic scroll wheel – that thing is pure magic.
Now, this mouse has a multi-device feature that allows you to use one mouse across all your devices. This mouse works with PCs, tablets and probably even your smart toaster. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m looking forward to it. And let’s not forget about the battery life. I’ve been using this mouse for a whole week without charging it. When it does need charging, you can just plug it in and keep using it via a USB-C cable – no downtime.
I constantly navigate large code files and endless Chrome tabs in my work. The Mag Scroll feature on this mouse has been a lifesaver, helping me move through everything at lightning speed. It’s like having a little productivity booster right under your hand. This mouse really saved my index finger on a very long file recently.
In a nutshell, this mouse is a beast. It’s comfortable, powerful, whisper-quiet, and packed with features that have made my work much easier. It’s the kind of mouse that makes you wonder how you ever managed without it. If you’re thinking about getting the Logitech MX Master 3S, my advice is to go for it. You won’t regret it.
Logitech used to be my go to mouse. Out of the box they are great but for the last number of years I found the quality to be horrible. I have gone through a series of different models, hoping to find a good one but they all keep failing within six months to a year with button click problems (typically double click or click not registering), scroll wheel issues or battery shorting with middle click. The last one lasted 3 months. I’d love to hear if this one last for more than a year.
